From New Zealand-Study at New Plymouth & Sacred Heart#12

This morning it started with overcast skies after

a shower. But we could also see the sun from time

to time. With a cool breeze, every student must have

woken up pleasantly.

Today was the last day we would spend a whole day in

New Plymouth. Tomorrow, with plenty of memories,

we are going to fly to Auckland.

Coming again to the Hotel room which we used in the

first week, we had a ESOL class in the morning.

All the students have done their assignments well while

they studied in N.P.G.H. or S.H.G.C. Today we shared

what we learned, what impressed us most, what we found

in each school and so on.

In the afternoon, we visited a nearby pre-school and played

with children. Some students taught them “Origami,”

and some others played outside.

Yesterday was the day we said good-bye to our buddies.

Tonight is the last night we spend with our host families

and tomorrow — we have to say good-bye to them. Just

imagine what would the junior-high girls think in the bed

at the last night after spending 2 weeks abroad.

夜明け前に小雨が降りましたが、日が出るころには

あがり、今日は曇り空で始まりました。

一週間ぶりに、ESOLの授業をしていた教室に、17名

全員が集まりました。

まずは、テフリー先生から昨日のパフォーマンスにお褒め

の言葉をいただきました。その後、先週同様に授業が始まり

ましたが、クラスはお互いが打ち解けて、アットホームな

雰囲気でした。

次に宿題の確認。ペアワークでホストファミリーにつけた漢字の

名前を話しあうなどをしました。

続いてウォームアップは「ヘッドバンズ」というゲームです。

自分に与えられたピクチャカードが何なのかを、グループ

メンバーに質問して当てます。

頭を柔らかくした後で、今日のターゲットは、2週目を振り

返りながらのcommunication skillを久しぶりに練習。そして

後半は午後のアクティビティに向けて折り紙を教えるときに

使う英語を練習しました。

天気が良かったので、ランチタイムはビーチにお散歩。

午後はpre-schoolを尋ねました。

午前中の学習内容を使って折り紙を教えたり、外でかくれんぼや

追いかけっこをして過ごしました。

いよいよ、ニュープリマスで過ごすのも最後の夜です。

長いようで短かった2週間。ベッドに横になり、みんな

何を思うのでしょうか。
