From New Zealand_Report on New Plymouth GHS_170713

Otsuma Nakano is super happy to share the final report from Kaho and Karen, who have completed their Term 2 student exchange program at New Plymouth Girls' High School with you all.  They arrived safely at Tokyo last evening.   We should be proud of them becacuse they have made great progress in expressing their great experiences there in New Zealand in English.  Millions of thanks to all the teachers involved with this program.  Their final report is as follows;

This week, we had a farewell party for us in New Plymouth Girls' High School.  A lot of friends joined this party.  We got Completion Certificate. Then we enjoyed lunch time. I was not so sad at the party, because there were still a few days left to go to school. So, l couldn't believe that we would leave New Zealand. This party gave us great memories to us. I was so sad on my last school day because we could made many friends here. I couldn't believe that we already can't go to the school. Of course sometimes I couldn't make myself understood in English, so my school life was so challenging for us. But we really enjoyed school life!

On the last day in New Zealand, we were so crying at the airport. I was really sad to leave my host family, my friends, Teff and Wako.

Our time to study abroad was so short, but this period is so important for me! I won't forget all of my study abroad life!  We could really really have great experiences on this study abroad program in New Plymouth. We could meet a lot of nice people like our school friends, school teachers, host families and so on. If it were not for their kindness for us, we couldn't improve our English and want to stay more!!  Big thanks to them!

Also, we were happy to go to New Zealand.  We could know a lot of things like Maori culture, traditional food and how different everything is from Japan. I think New Zealand is very nice country as same as Japan because they have nice tradition, especially Maori, and most people who met with us for the first time easily talked to us a lot! It means Kiwi guys are kind! So we love New Zealand!

This experience we had in NZ will be special memories of our life and forever. We never forget about it. Thank you so much everyone and see you next time!  Thank you so much Teff too! Teff was supporting us with our studying. We could spend very comfortable and fun time!  She is our best teacher ever!!!

We are now going back to Japan today. I want to talk about my great experience for my family and friends, and I want to keep on studying English hard. Then we will surely get back to New Zealand again!!!

今週、学校で私達の為のお別れパーティーがありました。そのパーティーには沢山の友達が来てくれました。私達は修了証を頂きました。そして私達は食事を楽しみました。私はその時あまり悲しいという感情はありませんでした。なぜならまだ学校の登校日が残っていたからです。私達はニュージーランドを去るということが信じられませんでした。お別れパーティーはとても楽しかった思い出です。一方で、最後の登校日はとても悲しかったです。なぜなら沢山の友達を作ることができたからです。私はもう学校に行くことが出来ないということが信じられません。もちろん時々、英語が伝わらなくて学校生活は大変だったこともありましたが私達は本当に楽しむことが出来ました！

ニュージーランドでの最後の日、私達は空港でとても泣きました。私は本当にホストファミリーや友達、テフリーや宮澤さんと離れるのが悲しいです。私達の留学生活はとても短かったですが大切な時間でした！私はこの留学生活の全てを絶対に忘れません！私達は本当に本当に素敵な経験をニュープリマスですることができました。学校の友達、先生、ホストファミリーもとっても良い人達ばかりで、もしこのように暖かく迎えてもらえなかったら英語力が向上しなかったと思いますし、もっとニュージーランドに居たいと思うことができなかったと思います。本当に感謝しています。

更に、私達はニュージーランドに来れて幸せでした。たくさんの事を教えてもらえて、もっとニュージーランドに興味を持ちました。マオリの文化を大切にしたり、初対面の人でも気さくに話しかけてくれるようなキウイの人の性格が大好きです。

この経験は私達にとって特別で、今までもそしてこれからもずっと忘れません。ありがとうございました。

私達の留学をサポートしてくれたテフリーにも感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。テフリーのお陰で快適に、楽しくこのタームを過ごすことができました。テフリーは私達の最高の先生です！

私達は今日、日本に着きました。私はこの経験をたくさんの人に話して、このまま英語の勉強を一生懸命続けて、もう一度ニュージーランドに帰りたいです。
