From St. Andrew’s_セカンドターム留学_スタート

オーストラリア姉妹校・セントアンドリュースカレッジでのターム2留学がスタートしました。本校では、このセントアンドリュースに学期ごとの留学ができます。オーストラリアの学校は、4月中旬から2学期(ターム2）が始まります。1学期（ターム1）に留学した雨宮衣里さん、片山みらいさんに続いて、新しく留学を開始した高校2年生の清水陽香さんと和田千明さんからの留学の報告です。

100周年のANZAC Day。その場でその国の人とその瞬間を共有することを通して、歴史の重みをしっかりと感じ、学ぶ。テキストからでは学べないfirsthandでの歴史・文化を実感すること。留学の大きな意味です。改めて、このようなチャンスを本校に与えてくれているセントアンドリュース校・マクマスター校長先生に感謝いたします。

Hello to All of Otsuma Nakano! 

Today was our second day at St. Andrew’s College, and we are really having fun here.  It is still humid here.  Our host families are very nice. My school buddy seems that she wants to come to Japan next time.  She is really funny, but she is actually expecting to visit Otsuma Nakano by making use of this exchange program.

At St. Andrew's we had ANZAC Day ceremony today, because tomorrow is ANZAC Day.  Here at St. Andrew’s today, Holy Crosses are put on the roads in College and flowers are on the fields to commemorate this ANZAC Day.  We hear that tomorrow commemorating parades and ceremonies will be going on. 

ANZAC Day is very very important for people in Australia and New Zealand.  ANZAC Day is a special day of remembrance, when Australian and New Zealand soldiers sacrificed themselves for their countries, so that people in Australia and New Zealand can enjoy the safety of their countries.

It is very meaningful and good to us to have chance to learn real history of Australia.

今日、St.Andrew'sはANZAC Dayのために十字架が道に並べられ、グラウンドには花が飾られていました。ANZAC Dayとはオーストラリアとニュージーランドにとって、とても大切な日です。ANZAC Dayは明日ですが、明日は学校が無いために今日Assemblyがありました。明日はセレモニーやパレードがあります。オーストラリアの歴史を感じることが出来て良かったです。
