8月下旬に開催された法政大学主催のHosei Global Challengers’ Camp 2025 に本校から、高校2年生のM.N. さんがチャレンジ。　キャンプ最終日の課題解決プレゼンテーションでは、本校生徒のチームが最優秀賞を受賞するなど、大きな成果を上げました。

このプログラムは、　未来の社会へ挑戦を続ける国際機関職員・社会起業家などロールモデルたちの講演や法政大学の先生方からの講義を通じて、多様な価値観や未来を創るリーダーに必要な資質を学ぶとともに、全国から集う学生とのディスカッションやプレゼンテーションを通じて、グローバル人材に必要なスキルを実践的に学ぶものです。

2025年度のテーマは「将来に点数をつけるな！～社会と自分の未来を見つめ直す5日間～」。　現在と将来の社会情勢を考えた上で、より良い社会をつくるために自分たちの理想の学びとは何か？その学びを実現できる大学とはどのような場所であるか？を見つめ直す機会。

法政大学グローバル教養学部GISは、本校と高大連携を結んでおり、本校が取り組んでいる文部科学省事業WWL（ワールドワイドラーニング）コンソーシアム構築支援事業のネットワーク機関の一つもあります。その成果も活かしてくれた本校参加生のプログラムレポートです。

私はこの夏、法政大学主催の HOSEI GLOBAL CHALLENGERS’ CAMP 2025（HGCC） に参加しました。このキャンプは昨年に始まり、今年で2回目を迎える新しい取り組みです。HGCCでは、全国のさまざまな学校から集まった中高生がグループを組み、主体的に議論しながら協働し、プロジェクトを通じてチームワークでプロジェクトに取り組みます。　最終日には英語でプレゼンテーションを行います。それだけでなく、社会起業家や海外からのゲスト、さらに法政大学の先生方による講演や講義を通して、未来を見つめ直す貴重な機会も得られます。

今回のキャンプで私が学んだことは、大きく分けて3つあります。

1つ目は、グループにおける「聞き手」の重要性です。 私のグループは4人で構成され、そこに法政大学の学生がメンターとして加わり、アドバイスや英語での発表準備を支援してくださいました。私は普段、アイデアを積極的に提案するタイプで、それを自分の強みだと思っていました。しかし、今回の5日間のプロジェクトでは、多くのアイデアを出す一方で、議論が途中からまとまりを失う場面もありました。そんなとき、グループの一人が皆の意見を丁寧に聞き、整理し、まとめてくれたことで、方向性を取り戻すことができました。そこで「聞いてまとめる役割」の大切さに気 づきました。

2つ目は、大学に進学する意味について考えることです。 キャンプでは、「なぜ大学に行くのか」という問いに向き合う機会が多くありました。学校や家庭、メディアでは、大学を偏差値などの基準で選ぶ傾向が強いと感じています。しかしHGCCでは、「自分は何を学びたいのか」「社会の中でどのように生きたいのか」という視点から大学を考える大切さを学びました。

3つ目は、多様な人たちと協働して、真剣に取り組むことの価値です。 私はこれまでグループワークの経験は多くありましたが、5日間にわたって同じ仲間と同じテーマに向き合うのは初めてでした。一人ひとりがテーマと仲間に真剣に向き合うことが求められ、宿泊型のキャンプでは夜遅くまで議論を重ねることもありました。その中で本気で考え抜く姿勢の大切さを実感しました。

今回のHGCCを通して、私はさらに多くのプログラムに挑戦し、仲間や周囲の人々、そして社会全体に良い影響を与えられる人になりたいと強く思うようになりました。

This summer, I had the opportunity to participate in the Hosei Global Camp 2025, hosted by Hosei University. First launched last year, this program was held for the second time this summer.

At HGCC, junior and senior high school students from diverse backgrounds came together to engage in discussions, collaborate on projects, and strengthen their teamwork skills. On the final day, participants delivered presentations in English. The program, however, went far beyond presentations. Through lectures by entrepreneurs, international guests, and professors from Hosei University, we were encouraged to broaden our perspectives and reconsider how we envision the future. From this experience, I took away three key lessons.

First, I came to understand the importance of having a strong listener within a group. My team consisted of four members, supported by a Hosei University student mentor who guided us and helped us prepare for our English presentation. I usually see myself as someone who actively proposes ideas and speaks up in group activities, which I have considered one of my strengths. However, because this project lasted only five days, we needed to focus on synthesizing our ideas efficiently. While we generated many creative possibilities, our discussions began to lose direction. At that point, one teammate took on the role of carefully listening, organizing everyone’s opinions, and summarizing the discussion. This experience helped me realize how essential such a role is for the success of a group.

Second, I reflected deeply on the purpose of going to university. Throughout the camp, we often returned to the question: Why do we pursue higher education? In many contexts—families, schools, and media—universities tend to be evaluated by entrance scores rather than by the learning opportunities they provide. At HGCC, I began to see the importance of choosing a university not simply for its prestige but for the chance to study what I truly wish to learn and to discover how I can contribute to society through that learning.

Third, I learned the value of working with true commitment. While I had experienced group work before, this was my first time collaborating with the same team on a single theme for five consecutive days. Each member was expected to take the project seriously and to support one another. We even stayed up late at night refining our ideas together. In the end, despite the challenges, our team was able to earn the Best Award. This achievement showed me the power of perseverance and mutual dedication.

Through my experience at the Hosei Global Camp 2025, I strongly felt the desire to take part in more opportunities like this. I aspire to continue challenging myself, learning from others, and becoming someone who can make a positive impact not only on my own growth but also on those around me.
