大妻中野の特徴である「複言語・フランス語教育」。20年以上のフランス語教育の取り組みがあり、特に設置10年目を迎えるグローバル・リーダーズ・コースでは、フランス語が必修。英語力を鍛えると同時に、「複言語への視点」を重視し、多くの大学からも注目をいただいています。

また、文部科学省から「グローバル化に対応した外国語教育研究校」として、長年、研究指定を受け、日本全国のフランス語教育の指針作成に加わっています。

フランスの学校に1年留学にチャレンジしている高1、Kさんからのフランス語、英語、日本語の3言語での留学レポート、2025年1月、2月号を紹介します。本校の複言語教育の成果をよく表すレポートです。どうぞ！

Bonjour! C’est Kurumi. Je n’arrive à croire que c’est déjà le mois de février ; il est passé très vite. J’ai l’impression que mon niveau de français a beaucoup progressé et que je me suis beaucoup rapprochée de ma famille d’accueil. Aujourd’hui, je vais vous raconter comment mon mois de janvier et février sont passés.

Le Nouvel An :

En France, le nouvel an n’a pas été aussi grand qu’au Japon, mais nous avons quand même eu un grand repas comme à Noël. Ma famille d’accueil et moi avons fait du karaoké, chanté et dansé toute la nuit. C’était génial.

Le galette des rois :

Il existe une tradition qui consiste à manger le galette des rois en janvier. Il y a un gâteau traditionnel qui est normalement célébré le 6 janvier. A l’intérieur de la galette, il y a une fève et la personne qui reçoit la fève est nommée roi/reine de la journée. Le gâteau consiste généralement en une tarte avec de la crème d’amande sucrée, mais il existe aussi une brioche dans laquelle se trouve une fève.

A mon école, nous avons mangé le galette des rois pour le dessert et j’ai eu la fève ! J’étais très contente. Si on va le dire aux professeurs, on a une couronne. J’ai donc une jolie fève et une couronne en souvenir.

L’anniversaire d’une amie :

Je suis allée à l’anniversaire de mon amie. Nous avons fait un escape game où nous nous sommes promenés et avons répondu à des questions pour trouver un code. Le code était une clé pour trouver les ingrédients de la pizza que nous avons préparée ensemble. Je n’avais jamais fait de pizza à la maison, avec la pâte et tout, donc c’était très cool.

Le Festival international de la bande dessinée :

Le 2 février, je suis allée à ce festival avec mon amie et d’autres membres d’une organisation d’études à l’étranger. La France est très populaire pour ses bandes dessinées. Depuis que je suis ici, j’ai lu beaucoup de bandes dessinées et c’était très agréable de voir des dessins différents. Par ailleurs, la France est le deuxième marché mondial pour les mangas et il y avait tellement de mangas et d’animes à ce festival. J’ai été très choquée. La majorité de la librairie était remplie de mangas. Il y avait aussi beaucoup de posters du studio ghibli. Étonnamment, les mangas ne sont pas très chers et leur prix était à peu près le même qu’au Japon. Il y avait un stand de manga qui été décoré comme les festivals d’été japonais. J’ai été très surprise de voir que autant de gens aimaient le Japon et les mangas.

Spécialités et futurs métiers :

Dans mon lycée, comme au Japon, tout le monde décide de ses cours pour l’année prochaine et commence à penser à son avenir. Il y a eu un forum où des personnes de différentes universités et spécialités sont venues parler de leurs programmes et répondre à nos questions. C’était très intéressant de découvrir les différents programmes des universités, comme des armées ou des classes préparatoires.

J’ai une autre vacance de deux semaines, de la fin février à la première semaine de mars.

Hi everyone! This is Kurumi from France. I cannot believe it is already February; it has quickly passed. Now, I feel like my level of French has improved a lot, and I have become closer to my host family. I will be sharing how my January and the beginning of February have passed.

New Years:

New Year was not as big as it is celebrated in Japan, but we still had a big meal like Christmas. My host family and I did karaoke and sang and danced all night. It was so much fun.

King Cake:

In France, there is a tradition where we eat King cake (Galette des rois) in January. It is a traditional cake that is normally celebrated on January 6^th. Inside the cake, there is a small charm called a fève and the person who gets the fève is named the king or queen of the day. The cake is generally like a pie with sweet almond cream, but there was also a brioche that had a small fève in it.

At my school, we had the King cake for dessert and I got the fève! I was very excited. When we get a fève, if we can go and tell the teachers to get a crown. So now, I have a cute fève and a crown as a souvenir!

Friend’s birthday party:

I went to my friend’s birthday party. We did an escape game where we walked around the neighborhood and answered questions to find out a code. The code was used as a key where there were ingredients for the pizza we made together. Honestly, I have never made pizza at home from the dough and all, so it was very cool.

The International Comics Festival (Festival international de la bande dessinée) :

On February 2^nd, I went to this festival with my friend and others from a study abroad organization. France is very popular for their picture books which are like comics. Since I came here, I have been reading a lot of French picture books and it was so fun to be able to see different designs. Also, France is the world’s second-largest market for manga and there were so many mangas and animes at this festival. I was very shocked. The majority of the bookstore was filled with manga. There were lots of posters and other things sold as well. Surprisingly, manga isn’t sold very expensively and it was about the same price as Japan. One part of the festival was a manga booth that they decorated like Japan (like Japanese summer festivals). I was so amazed by how so many people liked Japan and manga.

Specialties and future jobs event:

In my school, like in Japan, everyone is deciding their classes for next year and also starting to think about their futures. There was an event where people from different universities and majors came to discuss their programs and answer questions. It was very interesting to see the different programs universities have, such as the army or the prep schools.

I have another two-week break from the end of February to the first week of March. I will write about my break in the next report! I have a lot of pictures from the festivals so please take a look!

こんにちは！フランス1年留学中のくるみです。あっという間に2月になってしまいました。フランス語力が上がり、コミュニケーションがとりやすくなり、ホストファミリーとより仲良くなりました。今回のレポートでは1月と2月の様子をお伝えします。

お正月：

新年は日本でお祝いするほど大きなイベントではありませんでしたが、クリスマスと似た大きな食事をしました。大晦日はホストファミリーと一晩中カラオケで歌い踊りました。とても楽しかったです。

キングケーキ：

フランスでは1月にキングケーキ（Galette des rois）を食べる習慣があります。これは伝統的なケーキで、通常は1月6日にお祝します。ケーキの中にはフェーヴと呼ばれる小さなお人形が入っていて、フェーヴを手にした人がその日の王様・王妃様になります。ケーキは通常、甘いアーモンドクリームが入ったパイですが、私はホストファミリーの家で何かの種が入ったブリオッシュも食べました。

私の学校のカフェテリアでは、ランチのデザートにキングケーキがでて、私はフェーヴが当たりました！先生に言いに行くと王冠をもらえました。キングケーキを一回は食べてみたいと思っていたので、大切な思い出になりました。

友達の誕生日会：

学校とダンスで仲が良い友達の誕生日会に行きました。メインのアクティビティは「脱出ゲーム」で、近所を歩き回り、質問の答えを見つけて暗号を解きました。その後、みんなで一緒にピザを作りました。家で生地からピザを作ったことがなかったので、とても楽しかったです。

国際漫画フェスティバル (Festival international de la bande dessinée) ：2月2日、留学団体の方と学校の友達と一緒にフランスのアングレームにあるコミックフェスティバルに行きました。フランスでは漫画のような絵本がとても人気です。私はフランスに来てからフランスの絵本をたくさん読むようになったので、いろいろな絵本を見ることができてとても楽しかったです。また、フランスは世界第2のマンガの市場であり、このフェスティバルでもたくさんのマンガやアニメが展示されていました。思っていた何倍も漫画があり、とても驚きました。本屋さんの大半はマンガで埋め尽くされていました。日本のジブリなどのポスターもたくさん売られていました。マンガはあまり高く売られておらず、日本と同じくらいの値段でした。さらにマンガとアニメのブースがたくさんあり、日本のお祭りのように装飾されていました。日本や漫画が好きな人がたくさんいて、面白かったです。

選択科目と将来の仕事のイベント：

学校では日本と同じように、来年受けるクラスを決める時期になりました。将来のことを考え始めるガイダンスもありました。いろいろな大学の様々な専攻の方が来て、それぞれのプログラムについて話したり、質問に答えたりするイベントがありました。私が住んでいる町の近くの大学について知ることができ、軍隊や大学前の準備できる二年間のプログラムなど日本ではあまり聞いたことがない学部やプログラムを知ることができました。写真のように複数の教室で時間帯ごとに、たくさんのプレゼンテーションがありました。
