From Australia Another Report on St. Andrew’s CC_170206

From Otsuma Nakano International Department.  Here comes another updated report from our sister school in Australia.  The other new exchange student from Otsuma Nakano to St. Andrew’s, Ayaka Kobayashi, who is a current Year 10th student, also kicked off their term long exchange study programs there.  We are introducing her feedback of the first impression on her new life and experiences in Cairns, Australia.   Here we go!

Hello, everyone!   This is Ayaka kobayashi.  I am attending St Andrew's catholic college school in Australia and I am now living to be exposed to real English, which is so great experience to me. 

This school is blessed with a lot of nature and has fresh air.  It has passed one week since I attended this school.  For the last one week, it was keeping on raining and being sunny repeatedly, which I cannot understand the cycle.  So, when we move on to other classrooms, we must run as soon as possible.  I am happy to feel authentic typical tropical climate here.  

Now, I would like to introduce my Australian school life and private one!! Let's go!   Have you ever taken a religion class? There is a class of religion in the school!  I was surprised at the subject!   It is one of the differences between St Andrew's and Otsuma nakano isn't it?  This week, we learned about Buddhism. I am interested in the class, because I can learn not only change of Buddhism but also other religions at the same time.  

After school on Wednesday, my host mother and sister took me to Zumba.  Lagoon pool that we went to for Zumba is a public pool for enjoying in Cains city.  It was new and very fun for me to play Zumba in the pool.

On the weekend, my host mother took me to a zoo called the Rain Forest Hobitat.  On the way to the zoo, we found so beautiful sea and took some photos.  I took part in the tour in which I can gave some foods to animals. The animals are kept in very natural way and environment.  So, I could touch them directly.  There were so many birds in the zoon.   Emma who is a tour guide looked after me with great care in walking around the zoo.

皆さん、こんにちは。 小林礼佳です。 私はオーストラリアのセントアンドリュースカソリックカレッジに通って、生の英語に触れる日々を送っています。学校は自然に恵まれ、空気が新鮮です。 私が学校に通い、一週間がたちました。ここ一週間は周期の読めない雨と晴れの繰り返しです。なので、私たちは教室を移動する際に、できるだけ走るようにしています！ 熱帯地方らしい気候を肌で感じられます。

では、オーストラリアでの学校生活と私生活を紹介したいと思います！！ さあ、行きましょう！皆さんは宗教の授業を受けたことがありますか？セントアンドリュースには、宗教の授業があります！私はこのことに驚きました。大妻中野との違いですね！ 今週は仏教について学びました。仏教の変革だけでなく、同時にほかの宗教も学べるので、とても興味深いです。

水曜日の放課後には、ホストマザーとシスターがズンバに連れて行ってくれました。ズンバをしに行ったラグーンプールはケアンズ市内でも楽しむことができる公共のプールです。プールでズンバをすることは私にとってとても新鮮で、楽しいものでした。

週末には、ホストマザーがレインフォレストハビタットという動物園に連れて行ってくれました。動物園に行く途中に私たちは美しい海を見つけ、何枚かの写真を撮りました。動物園では、さまざまな動物に餌をあげるツアーに参加しました。より自然に近い形で動物たちは飼われています。ですから、動物たちと直接触れ合うことができました。何よりも鳥が多かったです。ツアーガイドのEmmaが親身になって案内してくれました。素晴らしい一日を過ごしました！
