From Australia – August 2nd, Thursday Day 5

Read, Read and Read.

16℃, fine as usual, Thursday morning.  Smooth breeze makes us feel comfortable. A teacher in St. Andrews said, “It’s getting a little bit warmer. How are you doing? Japanese ladies! ” At 8:20, St. Andrews starts its first classes. Our students are used to going directly to the classroom of their own.

St. Andrews’ teachers are always very kind to us. When they find some Japanese students being at a loss, they are sure to call out to us as follows; “Are you alright?  Anything you’ve got worried about?”  Of course, buddies of St. Andrews are always being with Japanese students with help.

St. Andrews is one of the most prestigious pre through high schools in Cairns. They are especially focusing on academic progress of the students as well as high morality. So, this school encourages all of the students to read as many books as they can. In the school library, any kinds of lessons are going always.

Being the best we can be!  Starts with reading books.  St. Andrews tells the students.  A message from the principal said, “Being the best we can be is all about being the best College we can be for each individual student.”  Otsuma Nakano students being here, you are also each individual student in St. Andrews.  Be proud of it!
