From Texas_America_Kick off Exchange Report_Marshall HS

From Texas, America, another new report on one-year exchange student, Mei Suenaga, a sophomore student of Otsma Nakano, gave you a quick kick off report on her new school life.

Hello there, everyone!!  I’m Mei Suenaga.  I’m an exchange student from Otsuma Nakano for Marshall High School in Texas in America.  Since I came here, two weeks have passed.  Every single day, I have my fulfilled time here with many kind people.  Of course, the classes here in Marshall High School are challenging to me, but I have been giving it my best try!!

Now I’ll talk about my holiday.  In this week we had straight three days off, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  On Monday, we usually have to go school.  But this Monday was Labor Day.  Therefore, it was my first holiday.

I went to a football game with my family to watch my host sister participating in the game.  My sister was doing a color guard performance.  A color guard is a dance performer using a flag, a rifle, and a saber.  It took us about two hours to be at the stadium of the football game by car.  So, I was very tired.  But, I have never seen a football game and color guard peformance.  I enjoyed it very much.  Also, we watched a movie with my sister.  The title is “The Meg”.  This movie is about a story of shark. It was very scary.  But I was excited to see it.

Tomorrow we will start our school again.  I’ll do my best to study English!!
