St. Andrew’s Seminar 2015 -Day 13 (1/2): The last day in SACC, and messages from SACC vol. 2

Today is the last day in SACC.  Students enjoyed their everyday school life in the morning, and in the afternoon, for the last class here, they attended Creative Dance class by Ms. Callaway.  In the evening, a farewell party will be held, but I will report it later.

Teacher, how do you say "もしよかったら"?

St. Andrew's students

Q1: What image do you have about Japan and Otsuma Nakano?

Q2: What do you hope to learn in your life in Otsuma Nakano?

Q3: Where do you want to go in Japan?

Bronte Dickson( year 10 )

A1:

The image I have about Otsuma Nakano, is that it is a respectful, organised, supportive school, that will help me further understand Japanese school life and Japanese society and culture.  As well as further improve my Japanese understanding of language and vocabulary.

A2:

The things I hope to learn from in Otsuma Nakano is in my understanding of the Japanese school society, as well as to further learn and understand new commonly used vocabulary and phrases.

A3:

In Japan I wish to go to Tokyo city as well as to places most Japanese school girls would go, on weekend and after school.

Sindy Shen

A1:

Japan is a country that has an interesting and unique culture.  There are a lot of Japanese style buildings and I think they are pretty.  Japan has amazing food such as curry, ramen and sushi and Japanese anime is my favorite.  Otsuma Nakano is a girl school in Tokyo and the students are friendly, quiet and polite.

A2:

I want to learn how Japanese treat others and their culture and experience everyday life, both school and social, in Otsuma Nakano.  And I think it's also a good chance to improve my Japanese.

A3:

I want to go to Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya, Osaka and Hokkaido.

・Shayne Keppie

A1:

Everyone I've met so far has been very kind and open to embrace the Australian culture. Otsuma seems like a very bright, lively school full of intelligent students.  When it comes to Japan I have this generalised image that it is a very high-tech, with-the-time country; however holds firm roots with its deep cultural background.

A2:

I want to learn the different practices of teaching and how students from a different country handle school and the workload.  I want to see for myself the cultural side of Japan and how the people act.

A3:

Tokyo is the top of my must-visit list, however in Tokyo I most want to see the anime shops!!

・Jahla Zammit

A1:

The image I have of Japan is that it is a very polite and hospitable country.  The landscape is very colorful and beautiful (very different from Australia).  I think people in Japan so kind and friendly!!!

The image I have of Otsuma Nakano is that it is a very academic school filled with polite, kind and smart girls!

A2:

I hope to learn more about Japanese culture and average, normal school life.  I want to learn about the differences and similarities between Australian school and Japanese school.

A3:

I want to go to Disneyland!!!!  I also want to go to Akihabara to see anime shops and the crazy fashion.

Host family、School buddy
