セントアンドリュース・ターム留学（セカンドターム）の留学レポートの締めくくりとして、和田千明さんのレポートを記します。

そして彼女たちは、セントアンドリュースの先生方から、こんな言葉をもらいました。

Hello there!  I don't want to believe that we have only a week left!  I really want to stay here much longer. I'm going to cry when I go back to Japan and miss my host family, friends, St.Andrew's, Cairns and Australia!

Last Tuesday, I made cupcakes for the big morning tea. The big morning tea is a day when different organisations and schools get together and sell food. The money raised goes towards the cancer research in Australia.  It's about coming together to enjoy a meal and show support for cancer patients.

In all over Australia, a lot of people including St. Andrew's students eagerly work to donate in activities, such as, this big morning tea and relay for life.　Some Japanese do donate activities, but I think it's not as popular in Japan. I think we should do this on a much bigger scale.

On the last week of the school, we had a farewell party for a teacher who is going to move to another place at study of society class.  Afterwards, the teachers and students held a great farewell party for us in Friday lunch time.  They gave us year book, broach and a really cute teddy bear with some messages.  I was crying.  I had a great time!

I really had good times at school with my friends.  I really thank the principles and teachers of Otsuma Nakano and St.Andrew's, my family, my host family, school buddy and friends for giving me this awesome opportunity and experience in Australia.  I love all of people who take care of me, St.Andrew's, Cairns and Australia!!  I will never forget these memories in Australia.  I'll come back to Australia as soon as possible!!!!  

こんにちは！いよいよ残す所1週間を切りました。本当にここにもっともっと長く居たいです。

先週の火曜日にカップケーキをbig morning teaの為に作りました。big morning teaというのは、学校やその他の会社が一緒になり、食べ物を販売する日です。集まったお金をオーストラリアの癌研究所に募金されます。これは食事を楽しむと共に、癌患者の支援をする、というものです。この活動だけでなくSt. Andrew'sを含むオーストラリアのたくさんの組織が募金活動などを頻繁に行っています。日本でもこのような活動は行われているものの、少人数でしかありません。日本でも、もっと規模を大きくして、この様な活動を広めるべきだと考えさせられました。オーストラリアは学校全体や国全体で活動していて、すごいと思います。

先週の金曜日に転勤される先生のfarewell partyをしました。金曜日が学校最終日だったので、みんなのびのびして楽しそうでした。それから昼休みに先生方、友達が私たちのfarewell partyを開いてくれました。year bookとポーチ、寄せ書き入りのクマのぬいぐるみを貰いました。とってもいい時間を過ごせました！

St. Andrew'sで様々な楽しい思い出が作れて本当に良かったです。この特別な機会を与えてくださった両校の先生方、自分の家族、3ヶ月もの長い間世話をしてくださったホストファミリー、いつも楽しい思い出を作ってくれた友達に本当に、本当に感謝しています。この留学に関わってくださった皆様に本当に感謝します。この思い出は一生忘れない素晴らしい物になりました。出来るかぎり早くオーストラリアに戻りたいです！！！
